Home Readiness Level I

Description:

Protecting your home and loved ones requires more than simply owning a firearm—it requires the ability to move safely, think clearly under stress, and make sound decisions in confined spaces.

Home Readiness Level I is designed to introduce responsible armed homeowners to the core principles of defensive movement and search procedures within a residential environment.

This course focuses on safe and effective techniques for navigating hallways, doorways, corners, and rooms while responding to a potential threat inside the home. Students will learn foundational close-quarters concepts including threat identification, movement techniques, use of cover and concealment, communication, and proper search procedures commonly used in defensive scenarios.

The course combines classroom instruction, dry practice, and live-fire exercises to help students develop safe firearm handling and practical defensive skills in a controlled training environment. Emphasis is placed on decision-making, situational awareness, and responsible application of force rather than aggressive tactics.

This course is ideal for homeowners seeking to improve their preparedness and confidence in defending themselves and their families during a home intrusion or emergency situation.
